History

Established in 1972, Shropshire Welding Supplies was started by husband and wife, David and Carol Evans. David had worked in the welding trade prior to setting up the company. Their ethos was to provide local businesses with quality welding supplies, offering everything they needed under one roof - they wanted to be a one stop shop covering all aspects of the welding industry.

Aiming to provide a personal service, David started a ‘milk round’ type service, where he would drive a van, stocked with welding supplies, to visit local businesses on their route to see what supplies they needed.

In 1998, their son Luke had the opportunity to join the family business and later in 2001 took over as Director. Seeing potential to grow the business, Luke appointed Mark, who had years of experience in the trade, as a Director. Under the new management team, the company has grown from strength to strength, and are proud to offer its largest ever range of quality supplies, while maintaining the companies traditional values.
